Planning, Part 1

We have been engaged for 19 days. In that time, we have accomplished the following:

*Reserved the church
*Asked (most) of our attendants to stand up with us
*Launched our website
*Selected my gown/ veil/ jewelry/ shoes/ etc
*Gown arrived
*First fitting scheduled
*Selected the bridesmaids’ gowns/ shoes
*Purchased the invitations & response cards
*Purchased the programs
*Purchased the tapered and unity candle with stand
*Purchased bubbles for the guests
*Arranged for the cake
*Looked at 6 reception sites
*Sent the engagement pictures back for re-printing
*Working on obtaining a couple of room blocks
*Working on transportation
*Arranged for the flowers
*Purchased gifts for the bridesmaids
*Nearly completed the invitation list
*Booked the rooms for the honeymoon
*Decided on our registry stores (Kohls; Sears; Bed, Bath & Beyond)

I am sure that there are a few other things that I am forgetting right now. The point is this:

This is fun! I never thought that I would turn into a girly girl. I was wrong. This is easy! Of course it helps when the fiancĂ© is just as excited, but none-the-less, I don’t know why brides get so uptight.

Of course I have to include a caveat – As I mentioned, I have not been a bride for very long. Perhaps in a couple of months I will be singing a different song. I don’t know. We’ll see.

Isn't it fun? The bells, the bows, the pretty, pretty stuff...I'll tell you right now, if i could find an outfit with the same cut as my wedding dress, i would be wearing it all the time. Heck, if people wouldn't look at me funny, I would wear the dress all the time! And I hate dresses. It will get hectic later, but enjoy this as long as possible. I lost Loren when we went into Bed Bath and Beyond to register. We were doing good until we turned the corner and saw an entire wall of kitchen towels. So many colors, so many choices, so many decisions. We had already been there for 2 hours and hadn't made it past the kitchen stuff!
