Where am I going and when am I leaving?
These are constant questions in my head. The funny part is that when I get to wherever I should be going, the first thing that I do is ask, “Where am I going and when am I leaving?” Case in point…
We have decided to see how many football games we can go to in a single season. I was especially excited to go to the Illinois State University game on Saturday evening. They were playing Murray State (I had never heard of them before.) I like going to games of the smaller schools because the whole experience seems so accessible. The players are closer, you actually know who the family members of the players are, the attendees are so involved in the momentum of the game.
We drove 2 hours to the lovely town of Normal, Illinois. We got a bite to eat and then went to the stadium. There was about 45 minutes to kickoff. As we were watching the team stretch, I couldn’t help but think, “What are we doing tomorrow? What do I have planned on Monday?”
This is unfortunate because I deprive myself of the joy of where I am. I need to slow down and enjoy the place where I am. I am getting better, but I am not where I want to be. Huh, funny.

I have similar questions: what will I have for dinner and what about tomorrow's lunch?
It can be very comforting when there are definite answers to those questions. :)
Yeah, stop and smell the roses...
Also, convey my apologies to Tom for what Michigan is doing this year...I don't know what else to say.
Elbow,
Tom says thank you. He is very sensitive about the whole MI football thing. He also sends his condolences.
