Who am I?

I am not 21 anymore… and this feels like the longest day of my life! I certainly don't bounce back as quickly as I used to.

Last night I had the unexpected opportunity to see Aerosmith. I enjoyed the show. The band started in 1970… I wasn’t even CLOSE to being born at that point… I digress.

The show was entertaining. I saw a very similar Aerosmith show roughly 10 years ago. I don’t mean that badly… Go with what works! Stephen Tyler’s energy is unbelievable. The things that he does and the items that he wears make it easy to forget that he’s close to my grandparent’s age!

At any rate, I was out MUCH later than usual, especially on a “school night.” By the time I got out of the parking lot, through the lights, home, recounted the evening for my husband and got to sleep, it was 2am! When the first alarm went off at 5am, I ignored it. (It’s in another room.) When the second one went off at 5:30am, I turned it off, rolled over and went back to sleep.

At 6am another alarm went off… what is this? I only set 2. What is this noise and why is it disturbing my sleep?

My husband rolls over… “I set another alarm for you. I didn’t think that you would get up.”

What a wise man! I got myself out of bed, got ready, picked up the largest iced coffee that I could find and drove myself to work. About an hour after arriving, the coffee kicked in… I was washing my hands when I noticed the stamps on the back of my hand. I chuckled. It’s been a LONG time since I’ve had a stamp on my hand… much less 2 of them.

I had a good time. I am glad that I went. I also remember that I REALLY enjoy feeling rested. Just leaning toward the finish line at this point.

Well to be honest I'm 5 years younger and its rare for me when a night out on the town sounds better than a really good night of sleep.
Anyway, so way to go Tom...go work.
