Shoveling Shoes

In preparation for today's snow, I did a few things:

Pack my emergency overnight bag (Depending on the weather, sometimes I don't quite make it home.)
Set my boots near the back door (Going to have to shovel to get to my car... and then clean the car off)
Place a bag with the shoes that I will wear at work near the back door (Proud of myself for thinking ahead)

Just as planned, I got up, ready for work, put on the boots and headed out the door.
I shoveled a path to my car. Cleaned the snow off the car. Left for work.

Half way to work I grab my lipstick out of my bag. I realize that my purse looks lonely, sitting on the seat by itself.

My shoes and emergency bag are still next to the back door... at home! Grrr!

Fortunately, my boots are black. I was also sensible enough to buy VERY insulated boots.

My feet are ROASTING! I went outside just to cool them off!

I won't forget my change of shoes again.

Been there Done That - But than my commute is not near as far as yours. So I probably would of gone back home.
