Lesson #71

A while ago I decided to become more patient. I laugh when life gives me an opportunity to learn "patience".

I usually get my way in a lot of things, personal and professional. Today I found out that something that I wanted professionally wouldn’t be happening.

I’m bummed… no doubt about it… but I have to believe 2 things:

1. I have the opportunity to learn patience right now
2. Something better will come along when the timing is right

Of course, that’s REALLY easy to say… it’s my job to say the easy, politically correct thing…
It’s very difficult right now to not be a little upset… a natural emotion.

I also chuckle that I am writing this as the feelings come over me instead of waiting for my head to clear… clearly “patience” is something I have not yet learned.

I am always amazed at how you are able to be so positive! You two reasons are absolutely correct. I wish I had something better to say...but I am hear to listen if you need it.

Why is it #71?

well I'm not so sure patience is the ability to produce artificial emotions. We have emotions and if you are disappointed or upset those are natural and correct responses, but patience is more about being able to stay calm and not over react to those emotions, which Rey you are pretty good at. Though we all can learn to be more patient.

Good point Elbow, and thanks.

For me, patience is an internal battle. So, while I may say, or not say something... I am SCREAMING inside. For me, patience is learning to lessen the screaming.
