Award-Winning Trophy Store

I am always amazed at how bold people can be. My story for the day:

I went to a trophy store to pick up an award for work today. Unfortunately, it was not correct, so they had to re-do it. I waited at the front of the store while they worked in the back. The "front" and the "back" are pretty much the same place, except that a counter top divides the two.

While they are re-cutting the item that I needed, they are talking about it.

"What do they use these for?"
"I don't know."
"I don't understand why we had to re-make it."
"Well, I don't think she liked the hole through the name."
"You can still see what it says."

As surreal as it was to watch them talk about my order, it was even more surreal to listen to one guy question why I wanted a presentable piece.

I have not been all that impressed recently. Now, even less.
