On Memorial Weekend, we packed up the dogs and went camping. This was a Class C location in the Des Plaines Forest Preserve. "Class C" means that there is no running water and no electricity. It was fun though. The campground was very spread out and fairly small... no not a lot of intrusions from other campers.

Of course, here are the dogs hanging out on their "mountain." (Yes, they had to be on a leash the whole time. They were not very happy about that.) Notice how Hawk, the black Lab, has dug himself a hole. This is the only place that he would lay down. We've never seen him do that before.

Check out Rhino during this photo op. It's like he wants to be a model or something.

Ahh, home. Our great tent. It only took 10 minutes to set up... and even less time to take down. SO much easier than when we tent-camped as kids.

The important stuff... yes, we had s'mores, campfire pizza, toasted hotdogs and beans... YUMMY!

No T&R pics because... well, it was a Class C spot... not exactly picture worthy for me. Took 1 of T. Just didn't post it.

Glad to hear that you had a good time camping. The dogs look like they enjoyed even if they had to be tied up.
