Saturday
BBQ and hiking for a friend's birthday. The weather turned out to be great. The food was fab. The company was great. The hiking was beautiful. What more could one want, you might ask?
On the way home we passed an ice cream shop. Most of us pulled in and had ice cream to top off the wonderful day. Great birthday T!
Sunday
Overslept (BAD!). Decided to go back to the fair. We went to me very first EVER demolition derby. It was cool. I didn't realize that the demolition derbys are like real-life bumper cars. HOW COOL!
We walked around for a while and took in the 4-H and other exhibits. Then... PAPA JOHNS! AWESOME!
While we were waiting for the pizzas, I returned my mom's call. (I must not have had any bars when she called because I didn't show a missed call.)
It was during that call that I realized that the tables of life are turning again. Why, you might ask. Well, my parents were calling their children to tell us that they are leaving town on vacation! They were checking in with their kids! Times, they are a-changin'.
Happy Monday!

Times do change...the parents taking off without any plans or anything.
Life is great when you can do what you please when you please!!
What a derby! I love them. It's been so long since I've seen one. I bet it was awesome. Sounded like a wonderful weekend.
