Potting Plants

This past weekend's goal: Have no plans.
This past weekend's achievement: No plans, but did small stuff around the house.
Highlight: Re-potted all of the plants in the house.

I enjoy re-potting plants. I enjoy caring for the wildflowers in my windowbox. It takes me back to my farmer's daughter roots, I think. (Nevermind that I NEVER played with plants as a kid.)

I enjoy picking out the right sized pot, preparing the soil, filling it in and watching the plant flourish in its new home. I enjoy finding new places in the house for the plants to live. (Most of the time, the new pots are bigger than the old ones and no longer fit in their previous locations.)

I like all of it. It's one of the rare times when I don't mind being dirty with soil under my nails. I don't even bother to put on gloves because I like the feel of the moist soil between my finger.

Here is something that is ironic...I repotted my plants this weekend. You can ask Dem, I really enjoy my plants and taking care of them. I suppose out of us kids I enjoyed that stuff the most when I was a kid (multiple times I started my own garden), but apparently we all have some apprecition for plants :)...dad should like that.
