I only did 20

It seems that nearly everyone has a list of factoids that they are posting about themselves. My brother recently posted his list. I found it particularily entertaining and thought I'd give this thing a shot. Here we go...

1. I once decided that I couldn't go to school because I couldn't walk to the bus stop. There was a piece of sidewalk under repair and I didn't think that I could walk around it onto the grass. I turned around and went back home.

2. I once threw a temper tantrum because we were moving from our first house into our second and I did not want to go. Once my mom told me that I could take my new change purse, I was willing to move into the new place. (Disaster avoided!)

3. I used to put tape on my skin to see if it was too dry. Yes, a little gross. Evidently I wasn't sure when to use lotion.

4. I knew that I had to go to school to learn to be a grown-up. Using this experience, I thought that all moms had to go to "Mommy School" to learn to become mommys.

5. I HATED taking a nap when I was a kid. Now, I would LOVE to take a nap!

6. When I was an infant, I would smash peas with my fingers and then throw the remains at my mom. I guess I've never been a fan of peas.

7. I thought that driving an hour to work each day was absolutely ridiculous and I would NEVER do that... In reality now, would LOVE to cut my commute to an hour each way.

8. I was an exchange student to Germany when I was in high school. Sorry parents, but I think that I only made it to class for one day... I'm not even sure if it was a full day.

9. When I lived in the dormitory in high school, I would "toast" my poptarts by using my iron.

10. I would iron my clothes by putting them in the dryer.

11. I would dry my clothes by hanging them (or some of them) around the dorm room.

12. I liked to invent things. Once I tried to invent a way to recycle bathwater.

13. I refused to get my driver's license for an entire year.

14. When I got my first "real job", I treated myself to a luxury... I had someone else do my laundry for me for about a year.

15. While I am not a HUGE video game nut, I do have some tendancies. Along with one of my roommates in college, we spend 24 solid hours playing Dr. Mario. (Yes, that meant that we missed some classes.)

16. My English Lit professor in college came "out of the closet" to us during class one day.

17. I never checked a book out of the library in college, or high school.

18. I never went an entire week during my entire college career having attended ALL of my scheduled classes.

19. I partied more after I graduated from college then the entire time that I was in college. Going out for the night at midnight and getting home at 4am happened with a fair amount of regularity. Now, it takes an act of Congress for me to stay awake past 10pm.

20. I've been with the same company for 10 years. Although, I did resign after about a year. It didn't take though and my employment has continued until now.
