The Award Goes To...

So I found out a couple of weeks ago that the local school district is honoring me, as part of Hyatt, with an award. I wasn't really all that interested until today.

The coordinator, Gail, wanted to interview me. I have no idea what they are doing with the information. She went all the way back to high school, through college, then through my career and finally asked some questions about my family.

From my point of view, I didn't think any of it was all that interesting. After all, I've lived it. She, on the other hand, seemed very interested. (Part of this I am sure has to do with her responsibilities, but she totally fed my ego.)

Near the end of the conversation, she mentioned that she was excited to meet me because I sound so facinating. REALLY? I feel like there is a "but" coming... I am sure that someone wants a donation, or something.

The whole thing is rather odd to me. I'm interested to see what this is all about... April 15th!

Congrats...I look forward to reading what they have to say about your life. I would have to say that you've lived an interesting life so far...apparently high schoolers agree.
