A Little Rant

I'm at work on my day off. I won't get another day off to make up for it. I won't get some sort of additional compensation. That's fine. I get it. It's part of the gig.

However, I didn't get up at 5am to watch my co-workers stand around and sip their coffee and munch on a donut... that I brought for them on the way in! Here's the deal, NO ONE wants to be here right now, but the sooner we all get to work, the sooner we can leave. If you had no intention of doing any work, then don't come in. It's that simple.

With that said, I know that none of them will actually get off their entitled butts and get anything done. So, I'll make it even. Don't be too surprised when you are looking for me in a few hours and can't find me. I'll be the one on my couch at home enjoying an unplanned nap.

So, thanks for your infectious laziness. I appreciate it. I know that I'll enjoy my afternoon off, even if it's unapproved.
