Confused and saddened, I searched. I searched the living room, kitchen and my car. Nothing. I like those gloves… warm, not too bulky, leather… kind of nice. Hmmm… saddened.
Resigned to the idea that my favorite gloves were gone forever, I went to work. I am such a creature of habit, that I was excited when “my” parking spot was still available. Impressive since the lot was nearly full already.
I pulled in, opened the car door, looked down and saw one of my gloves! Joyous! One of my gloves had returned to me! I searched around and under my car for its partner. Nothing. That’s ok. I know that it, too, will return to me. I turned around to walk to the entrance. I looked at the driver’s door of the vehicle next to mine.
MY GLOVE WAS IN THE HANDLE!
BOTH OF THEM HAD RETURNED TO ME!
YEAH!
Petty? Sure. But I enjoy the little things. Today is going to be a good day.

Ok...I'm glad you got your gloves back, but why was it in the handle of the car next to you? Do you think it went home with that car last night...Perhaps they were both there...clinging to the handle hoping against hope to be brought back to the place they last saw you... The one strong one...probably the glove of your dominant hand...lol...held on longer...the other one dropped off in exhaustion as the mystery car parked...like i said...i'm glad you got them back, but what a mystery!
Man I wrote a comment but it didn't show up...well I'll rewrite it and then it'll show up twice.
Anyway, that is an awesome story and I would love to hear your theories of how that glove ended up on the handle of the car next to yours.
I do not know how the glove found its way to the handle of the vehicle next to me. My theory is that the gloves took turns finger walking up the side of the SUV in hope of being seen at eye level. As either of them would get tired, it would rest on the ground.
It was the left glove in the handle, so I think that the right one was resting.
