My brush with fame

Last night my husband and I were at Sports Authority. We were in line to check out when he asked me “Is that him?” He gestured toward the door.

There was an officer in uniform, talking on a cell phone. I looked… it was!

There he was… Officer Owens!

The next logical question for most people is… Who is Officer Owens?

Answer: He one of the officers features on the Court TV show Speeders!

I walked up to him. He put down his phone.

“Are you Officer Owens from the show Speeders?”
“Yes, I am.”
“That is my favorite show! May I shake your hand?”
He extended his hand. We shook.
“You do a great job. You have made my night. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”

He walked away and continued his conversation.

I then looked at my husband and said, “He’s famous because crazy strangers walk up to him in public places because he is on TV.”
It’s fun to laugh at myself.
