What Will Today Bring?

Today is March 19, 2007. In any other year, today’s would not be of much significance to me. This is not like any other year.

Today marks the 2-month point before we get married. Today marked the day when we can obtain our marriage license. As of today, there less than 3 months until my birthday. Today.

Each day has its little “mile markers.” Perhaps a birthday, promotion, retirement, meeting a new person, saying goodbye to an old friend. Each day has something significant in it that shapes who we are. Some we take notice of. Some we do not.

So which one’s do we save in our mind’s eye? I don’t know. What I do know is that everyday is different. Some days are better than others… or so we think at the time. Good or not, each day shapes us. Perhaps with a little effort, and God’s Will, we can be shaped into something that contributes to others in a consistently positive way.
