Lesson #214

Valentine's Day was 7 days ago. A lot of people, myself included, mock the "Hallmark Holiday." I had always thought. "We should appreciate those we love every day, not just on February 14th." Well, 7 days ago, a single individual chose to teach a lesson - even if he didn't intend to. Perhaps we can learn that Valentine's Day is significant because, not only should we appreciate those in our lives every day, and there is no harm in setting aside a day to truely focus. To focus on life, on love and on our own self-image.

This is a picture of one of the vigils held on the Northern Illinois University's campus and a quote from NIU's president. There will be more of both. Classes resume on Monday. I will be on campus recruiting on Tuesday. I was originally scheduled to be on campus last week, but that didn't happen.
